I assume you're getting picture from the BD? If not, you usually have to go into some setup mode to tell the receiver what inputs you're using (unless that's what you meant by "HDMI Listings"). I assume you're coming out of the Blu-ray player as HDMI?

If your BD player also supports analog output, there might be a setting in the player setup that determines whether it's sending audio to the HDMI out or only analog outs.

If still no luck, make sure the HDMI cable between the BD player and the receiver is pushed in all the way - HDMI cables fall out easily. If that's not the issue, try changing cables. Also make sure you didn't accidentally put the BD player in "mute" mode. If that still doesn't work, plug the BD player, via HDMI, directly into the TV and see if that works. (You probably have to assign an input in the TV setup for this to work). If that doesn't work, it's most likely a problem with the BD player.

Note: when changing HDMI cables, make sure everything is turned off.

Yep HDMI sources are correct and Im using it as AVR and input is HDMI.

Now I want to do a factory reset for it but googling isn't helping with this model at all. Been searching for 30 mins lol

Did you try the manual that should have come on a CD with the receiver?

Yes oddly enough it doesn't mention using and amp just BI amp instructions No way my RCA's are incorrect. Then again who knows Has to be settings.

Thanks for all the help I feel like the biggest pain right now. It is just embarrassing that everything about the receiver seems so simple yet it isn't :-)

Did you look into the HDMI settings section and make sure it was set to amplifier and not TV as I had mentioned in the Emotiva thread? I have seen that happen more than once.

I would think the manual would tell you how to reset the unit to factory defaults. Should be in the troubleshooting section.

I think I fixed it by Assigning it and actual HDMI which is odd since it was already chosen lol Something tells me I need to tweak something else on it but at least there is sound!

Now if I can just turn of the Receivers on screen display since I don't want to see that on my tv screen when I adjust the volume :-)

Even though the front buttons are labeled or supposed to be matched up on the back of the amp, they can be changed in the menu to which ever input you want.

Yep, interesting touch for sure. With all the trouble I had I'm sure I prefer this to the Pioneer SC-65 :-)
