Default Lost in Space TV series

Does anyone think the Lost in Space TV series from the 60's could ever come out on Blu-Ray? Would people buy the seasons if it were? Apparently it was shot in 35mm so it qualifies for a release. Would they need extensive remastering/restoration first to clean up/enhance the prints?

If it did come out, I'd be one of them who bought it. I grew up on this show and loved all the camp it had to offer. My parents made me take naps that one day a week it was on, so I could stay up past my regular bedtime to watch my favorite childhood show. I loved the Dr. Smith and robot relationship even though it was so cheesy.

But the experts in here are the ones who can talk about studios and what they release or what their history is. I just watch the stuff.
Ask yourself this 1 question and you'll probably get your answer.....How many other 60's TV series are out on Blu right now?

I thought the show was video-taped using 1" master tape of the time period? In any case, I've seen that video before and it always looks marvelous. One wonders how many other classic TV shows of that era were done on 1" tape as well as it appears to have what it takes for HD re-mastering.

I tried to find information as to what 1" tape is since it is listed on the youtube video .(not much luck about what the quality is like compared to film) It probably was video taped , Where has the 35mm info come from ? Anyone please advise .

From watching the video a bluray hopefully is in the works in the near future. I won't even watch my dvd's knowing that it can look that good .

It was shot on film for gawds sake, 35mm. You don't think you'd get that sharpness & quality (the restoration test) from 60's 525 video tape do you. I'm hoping we get a Blu-ray set next year, just about the daftest show ever.
