My two favorite types of movies is without a doubt Horror and Science Fiction films, Mostly old films from 50's, 60's, 70's & of course the 80's!

Name your top ten favorite Horror or Science Fiction movies....in no perticular order.

This can range from Silent films to present day films. You choose.

Just for the fun of it, I'll limit my list to those films that can be fit into both genres simultaneously.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)
The Last Man on Earth
John Carpenter's The Thing
Westworld
Videodrome
Godzilla (1954)

I kinda think you miss my point... your favorite Horror or Sci-Fi movies. Because Horror and Sci-Fi are nearly the same with a few exceptions.

Started working on my definitive top favorite sci-fi list. Might have to wait to see how Ender's Game and Elysium turn out, but as it is, my top ten looks like:

01: The Matrix
02: Terminator 2: Judgment Day
03: A Clockwork Orange
04: Star Trek (2009)
05: Children of Men
06: Akira
07: Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
08: Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
09: Back to the Future
10: Wall-E

My top ten favorite horror movies would look like this:

01: The Shining
02: The Ring
03: Silence of the Lambs
04: The Devil's Backbone
05: Antichrist
06: The Thing (1982)
07: Planet Terror
08: Resident Evil: Apocalypse
09: Bram Stoker's Dracula
10: Psycho

My top ten sci-fi/horror hybrid movies would probably be:

01: The Thing (1982)
02: Resident Evil: Apocalypse
03: The Mist
04: Alien
05: Prometheus
06: Tetsuo: The Iron Man
07: Event Horizon
08: The Cell
09: The Re-Animator
10: Cabin in the Woods

Sorry, but I didn't see much horror in movies like Wall-E and Nasusicaa and Star Wars and stuff. Also didn't see much science in The Shining, The Ring, Silence of the Lambs, and all my horror movie picks. Thus, I was compelled to keep 'em separated.
