Now, this is a Blu-ray release I wouldn't have expected. I've been a big fan of this film since its original release and always felt it was underrated.

Definitely a day one purchase for me. I can still remember having the VHS as a kid, it had a behind the scenes promo for the power rangers movie! I saw that promo so many times but never the actual power rangers movie.
It's been years since I've seen this, never had the DVD, so it'll be a pleasure to revisit it

I'm so scared to see this movie again. I have such fond memories of it as a child, but those kinds of movies are usually the worst ones to watch over again, because when you grow up you are able to recognize how little enjoyment said movies actually have.

Maybe this is a different case, though! I am still scared to try it again, however. I wonder if it's one of those things that should be left for nostalgia to carry along

I'd be down for a "Free Willy" Trilogy BD set. (The Direct-To-Video sequels after 3 don't count to me)

I loved this film as a little boy. I revisited it a couple years ago and as expected, it didn't hold up overly well but it was still fun.

It seems that way. So far it's going to be a expensive week yet again with the Disney releases, oblivion, mud, the place beyond the pines and now this. I'm real happy this is coming out on blu ray. Really loved it when I was little.

Yes please!! I have been waiting for these to come to blu!! Could really care less for the 4th to be honest, never even saw it and I don't really want to... The first 3 would be perfect!! Although I could see WB doing a 4-pack movie collection for it like they've just done with the BB exclusives..

Let's not forget Cavalcade, the early Best Picture winner that only made it to DVD as part of a 75-film boxset.

I remember this film mainly for the theme song "Dream Away". Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds' voice was obvious, but it wasn't till years later that I realized the female singer was one of my all-time favorites, Lisa Stansfield.

Except for the ones released on Oct. 1st.

Although I remember (with somewhat less generational nostalgia) that the movie was trying to be its own counter-Disney marketing arm, and promoting its "Love of reading!" message to parents as its reason for existence.
Critics wondered about the "mesage" in the movie, though: Okay, he enters books, runs into every scary bad guy from them, and gets chased around on videogame obstacles until he escapes, THIS is love of literacy?

This is awesome! I don't think I've seen this since I rented it from the video store oh so many years ago.
