OK, I watched it last night and it seems all violence is uncut and also the Shower and Romance scene if anybody is interested...

Indeed, the version featured on the Blu-ray is the first version of the film. They went back a few months later to do some re-shoots and enhanced the climax with a few connecting shots, the surveillance camera check in the warehouse, the money twist, the fight with Severance and Rudisill (some of the best martial arts moves from Dolph I think), and the ending where he was handcuffed while kissing Rita...

As good as the movie is (highlights being warehouse shootout and Ferrari chase), they've clearly hadn't any good idea for final showdown (it may have something to do with weak villains - George Segal may be funny at times, but a worthy adversary for Dolph he is not). Both endings are not so good. The longer one may have some good martial arts moves from Dolph but it's almost ridiculous because of his opponents. The fight drags too long, and there are weak parts also. The shorter one feels a bit abrupt and anti-climactic, because almost nothing really happens.
I think I prefer the shorter one, just because... it is shorter. In fact, after the chase the movie hasn't much more to offer, and the sooner it ends, the better.

That being said I'm very happy with the release, PQ is good, especially chase scene looks impressive (and everything else filmed at day time). Haven't checked extras yet.

Me too, but the unrated version is the one I first saw (twice) in French cinemas back in summer '93. I have a custom widescreen DVD of it but an HD version would be swell...

Excellent, apparently the German edition will be the extended version! So we'll have both in HD so everybody can choose their version... (this is the DVD cover but the Blu-ray's should be uploaded soon)
