If anyone is interested in selling their SIXAXIS to fund their purchase of the Dualshock 3, I'll buy it.

Nice...I was thinking of ordering them from japan or e-bay...but never got around to it. I have two controllers right now...I don't think I could trade them in for only $10 (or less I'm sure if they get swamped with them). I'll probably keep them, buy another two, and have 4....Eventually I'll probably buy 4 though. I do hope we get all the different colors too!

How much heavier than the sixaxis is this one too?
The controler is 40% heavier than the SIXAXIS (192g compared to 137.1g for SIXAXIS) and has a power consumpion of 300mA current of 3.7V for a power consumption 1.11 watts compared to the SIXAXIS' 30mA current of 3.7V with a power consumption of 0.111 watts.

Pick it all up. You wont be dissapointed. I bought my PSP about a month ago and I LOVE IT. Second only to my PS3 as the most amazing piece of hardware ive ever bought.

I think they've changed the battery though. Its not like the DS3 is gonna last 1/10th the time between charges as the sixaxis.

Well i hope not. I assumed it will take more energy, but how much is the issue. And batteries are always improving so I doubt they will leave this with little battery life.
Not really an issue though. I don't play long enough to drain the battery, so I will just charge them overnight while running Folding@Home.

Anyone know if they are going to replace the Sixaxis controllers that come with the PS3 with a dualshock 3?
I just hope it works on the ps2 games as well, then.. I just wish the list was bigger... we shall see AYE?

Anyway it will great regardless cant play mgs without rumble right, and rumble man will be happy.

Is the Dual Shock 3 physically larger than the SIXAXIS?

I don't think so. But it probably is a little heavier now.

Actually I hope it's not that much heavier, 40% isn't bad.. My hands ache after playing couple of hours of Forza2.

Good info, thanks. I will prolly pick it up with GT5

It is the exact same size and shape, just a different weight.
I think it does work with PS2 games, they did list PSone emulation so I know it works on PSone games as well.

Really? I really like the 360 controller much better than the Playstation one. The layout of the analog sticks is much better IMO. The PS one requires a very unnatural hand position, for me at least. Funny how things are so different for different people.

True true. I was one of the few that liked the OG Xbox controller, AKA Big Bertha. Then again, I have the beginning of arthritis at 26, so holding on to small things is becoming increasingly difficult. Cursed genetics.

My hands are maybe unnatural hehe... maybe because 360 controller is heavier I tend to squeeze it tighter therefor the pain after playing some time..
