Artie Lange's Beer League.. Funny and Looks good - Blu-ray Forum

Just got finished watching it. Pretty funny movie, and the PQ is surprisingly good from producers Echo Bridge.

Overall a great movie.. kept me laughing most of the movie, some dull moments, but there is constant swearing.. so avoid if you have younger children.

Movie - 4/5
PQ - 3.5/5
AQ - 3.5/5 (only allowed either dolby digital 5.1 or 2.0)

Its cheap on amazon.. pick it up

ya i enjoyed it alot but have no desire to replace my comedic DVD's with Blu.

Good point, I will pick it up. I want Dirty Work on Blu badly.

The only thing wrong with this movie is that it stars Artie Lange!! LOL

He is my favorite and hilarious on Howard, but I am sorry, he can NOT act!! He comes off like he's trying too hard!! Even on Entourage he was horrible!!

Artie Lange in HD is gonna be scary!!!!! he's up to 300 lbs now though, so it could be worse!

He has a shirt on the entire movie, the nudity is with a girl shooting ping pong balls. Youll understand.

What's funny is someone mentioned on the Howard Stern show that this movie is coming to Blu-ray.

And Artie asked, "huh? What's blu-ray?"

Blockbuster.com just shipped this one to me - can't wait.

Yeah but after that Artie revealed it was a joke, he later talked about how his movies arent made for profit, theyre made for people, and how echo bridge ( The company distributing it ) is proving more of what people want, and thats hi def movies, so all their releases in the future (Supposedly) will be on blu ray as well.

Interesting - I missed that. I really wonder if someone got to him and fed him that. Either way, I'm pleased to be watching it this weekend.

I threw it in my PS3 for a few minutes to check the PQ. Surprisingly good.

I piced it up a little over a week ago. Hilarious movie. Decent transfer too in my opinion.
