Default Sony S590 Unplug to Turn On.

I tried turning on my Sony S590 today and it would not come on. After plugging it in to multiple outlets, it would turn on but once I turned it off it would not turn back on unless I kept moving to a different socket. Well, come to find out, it was actually the HDMI. If I hit the power button and then unplug the HDMI from the player, it turns on. Plug the HDMI back in and everything is fine. What would cause this? This will be a nuisance if this is how I have to play my discs. Any help would be great. Thanks.

First off when you say HDMI. Are you referring to the HDMI cable or the HDMI port on the player?

I have to unplug the HDMI cable from the HDMI port on the player. When I do that, it turns on.

Have you tried a different HDMI cable?
