I finally watched the TV cut last night, which I'd never seen.
When Laurie climbs through the window in the boiler room, and falls down into the next room, I thought the stunt actor had no panties on. So, I stepped through it frame-by-frame, and sure enough, she showed her bare tush for one or two frames. It's in the theatrical version too, but is actually more noticeable in the TV cut because the 2.35:1 frame has been blown up to make the 4:3 image. I'm surprised they left it on the TV cut, but I guess nobody could see the image w/ such clarity back when it was created. |

An excellent purchase and a good companion to Universal's blu-ray which is worth owning for that exclusive "Terror in The Aisles" full length movie.
But this one has better picture than Universal's release and the extras are fantastic, the audio is nice as well. Thank you Scream for making horror movie fan's dreams come true. |

Thanks for the heads up! I absolutely despise paying for shipping but $12.98 total is the way to go; as such, it was so duly ordered.

I'm thinking of buying the Shout! release. I've noticed that scratch removal has been applied to this release and that there's some artifacts due to that process. Are they noticeable in motion or are they only visible in screenshots?

I didn't notice any. I think the transfer is georgous. It also has some really nice bonus features included too.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll pick this release up at some point. When it comes to extras, is the only thing that's exclusive to the Universal Blu the Terror In The Aisles documentary?

The PQ of this release has been way overrated, yes they got rid of most of the print damage but they also took away some of the detail.
It is a question of: Do I want a release that is full of specks etc but has fine detail with absolutely no dnr? OR Do I want a release where most of the specks have been eliminated but a loss of detail has resulted? |

I believe both versions have completely different extras, outside of maybe deleted scenes. But I know the big ones are Terror/Isles for Uni and a couple of brand new docs for the SF release. I actually have both releases because I'm just that hardcore about Halloween. Hope that helps.
