Talking We have a Widget!

Version 3.0 will be ready in a week or so.

Lala, I'm bumping a year old thread

Anyways, here's a (crappy) Photoshop of what 3.0 will look like. It will look much better when I finish.
The drop down list is pretty cool. You select what RSS feed from this site that you want, and it displays it. It's not overly impressive super l33t or anything, but it does what is was made to do

Version 2.0

Top stuff. One download coming up soon.

Now all I have to do is move my existing widgets around to fit it in.

Can't wait til I get a Mac with OSX 10.5 later this year. The Safari cut-out widget is going to come in VERY handy.

You reminded me of the long, painful wait.

I had to get rid of some to make room as well. No more Chuck Norris, and no more B-Ball.

It was, have a look at the attachment and see what I mean. There's so much useful stuff on those widgets that it's hard to not get carried away.

I have the 2.0Ghz Intel iMac. Great little machine it is too.

Apologies Shin-ra, however you could grab an iMac now and just upgrade to 10.5 when it is (finally) released. October I think it is.

I'm waiting for the next Mac mini hardware upgrade as well as OSX 10.5, I don't think I'd be getting the best value for money with the current Core Duo spec which isn't quite capable of playing back average quality 1080p AVC vids smoothly. The next Intel integrated graphics chipset will apparently be a huge improvement too.

I'm hoping for an HDMI port on my mini and some new HDMI Cinema Displays!

Wait, macs can't play back 1080p avc vids well with the core2duo? Or are you just talking about mac mini? Pcs do it fine...

Mine certainly does. Getting the lead was a bit of a debarkle (Mini-DV to DVI-D the DVI-D to HDMI), but it's all set up now and plays 720p, 1080i and 1080p perfectly.

I streamed the Quicktime HD movies straight on to my HDTV and it looks superb, super smooth. Mmmmm, smoooooth.

Mine's a 17 too. I looked at the 20 and the 24, but I like a more compact monitor as I tend to work close up to a computer.

Also I don't want the computer dominating my lounge, my 50" tele does that LOL!

This is my first computer since I had a Sinclair Spectrum back in the 80's, although I've had all the consoles. Since I have completely free use of my works computer, day or night, I just never got round to buying one. However, I'm glad I went Mac since I do mostly music production, film production and photography (semi-pro) in my spare time and the Mac seems to be set up out of the box for this kind of thing.

Plus it NEVER EVER crashes!

Might start a thread on computers owned, past and present. Mmmm.

yeah, that may be a good idea. I'd love to explain to people all their misconceptions between macs and pcs... etc. I built myself a PC 7 years ago and it didn't crash until about 8 months back for the first time... it was really my fault, though.
