Top 1980 releases not on blu ray....why? - Blu-ray Forum

1980 was one of my favorite movie years. It is unbelievable that these haven't been released on Blu ray....

1) The Elephant Man
2) Coal Miner's Daughter
3) Motel Hell
4) Ordinary People
5) Xanadu
6) 9 To 5
7) Somewhere in Time
8) Private Benjamin
9) The Changeling
10) American Gigolo

Anyone have any news about when these will see a region A release?

Some of these are available internationally. Mods please move this to the Wishlist section.

Why do they have to be moved to the wish list section? The previous poster didn't put it across as as a wish list. He was just putting down why they weren't on Blu-ray yet.

Discussions about titles that have not been released and have not been announced go to the Wish List section - pretty simple.

Yowser , its only a forum.
Have a look at the other sections in the forum too as they may be of interest in regards to international releases, gaming, etc
Ive found quite a few releases i wouldnt of heard of if it wasnt for the other international parts of this forum.

Just wow...you put Xanadu but Urban Cowboy which is the much better film is nowhere to be found.

Also, The Empire Strikes Back has yet to be released on blu.

The Elephant Man is available in Europe. I have it from Studio Canal. It comes in digibook and region A + B.

North American thread (the key part also because he asked about Region A releases); He wasn't asking about worldwide releases.
But according to his list, he needs to add Popeye, Smokey & the Bandit II, and Cheech & Chong's Next Movie because they were in the Top 10 (according to his post) after some others which have been released.
