Default Sony Vaio VGC-RM1 Editing Computer

On page 17 of the May 2007 videomaker magazine is a review of the Sony Vaio VGC-RM1 Editing computer that uses Windows Vista and a Panasonic SW-5582 Blu-ray burner. Cost is $3,500.

This machine has great performance for people that want to create professional HDTV home videos and movies onto a BLU-RAY disc.

Default Vgc Rm1 - VGX XL3

I wanted the vgc rm1, my pre-order got flithed up somehow & Sony (US) sold out of the VGC RM1 the day before it was to arrive. I was told by Sony that they only made 65!?! And have no plans of making more. I ended up switching to the VGX-XL3, Sony said if I wanted a Sony desktop for HD editing that was my choice. I think that the VGC RM1 will just always seem the one that got away. Debating on returning the XL3. Perhaps I'm just trying too hard to stay Sony.

You can order the machine (as I plan to do) through dynamism.com if you live outside of Japan, and change the OS to English during setup.
