rainbow 6 vegas 2 co-op question - Blu-ray Forum

Ok i'm new to the game. Me and my girlfriend both have user names on my ps3..well we wanted to play terrorist hunt or the story together on the same ps3...we both created characters...can we use them together?
When i start the game it only lets me use my created player...same when she does...When you join it doesnt give you a option that i can see to use the other persons character....or other words use them both together...

Is there anyway to do this??? We both used are created characters on the first one together. That i can remember....Thanks any info or help is appreciated

No that is not possible. You can only use one profile at a time.

ooo so the person thats not signed in...because they cant be signed in at the same time...has to use a random character?

So what you're saying is the ps3 version is incredibly gay compared to the 360 version. When's sony gonna figure out these little things are what make me (and im sure a lot of other people) buy games on the ps3 only when they're exclusives?

Yeah i have a xbox 360 also...The fans on it are incredibly loud...and it freezes up...Im on my second one from the red ring attack....I quit buying games for it but still have xbox live and play sometimes online. I keep the xbox on my tv in the computer room and the ps3 in the living room...

But i have rainbow six vegas on xbox 360...and you can log in at the same times 2 different profiles....and both use your created characters on terrorists hunts....that is kinda weak of ps3 not to be able to do that at least!!!

But i like the game still....and i like uncharted ALOT!!! and my girl likes ratchet and clank alot....so i guess thats what counts..we like to play more games together tho...not online with ppl we dont know....

This is one of the only real issues I have with the PS3 actually...

It is incredibly stupid that you can't use other profiles in games. I loved how my profile was stored in Xbox Live on my buddies 360 and we could coop using both of our profiles so we both get gamer points and the experience stuff. It's ridiculous that you can't do the same thing on PS3.

You can play with both of your profiles... you just need two PS3's to do it. Plug in a LAN and you are good to go. Silly that you have to go that route though... as well as annoying.

I'm in the same boat as you.. my GF wants to play her char with mine but we simply can't. So sad...

Edit: I should add that RB6V2 game saves are not transferable though from what I understand, so it might be locked to the box it's on. I was able to move RB6V1 game saves between profiles on my box but if you tried to go online it gave a message that it would reset your rank and you'd be starting over (if you went from that new profile). I'm not sure if you can move it to another PS3/memcard and be able to use it without losing rank if it's the same profile on the new box. Something to try I guess.
