Just ordered this. Followed a previous poster's lead by ordering a couple of copies to lessen the damage. Will prolly sell one. My 1st actual import from a retailer. I've only bought previously internationally from people on Ebay. Hope it goes smooth.

The HMV price, including shipping, isn't that bad...

Oh, crap...

I honestly don't buy too many steelbooks, but this looks too damn nice to pass up. I just hope that the 2d transfer matches the French version.

Will be interested in buying this from anyone on here who wants to sell when I have more money.

I already have the French Metalpak, Australian special slipcover with comic, Canadian with slip and UK edition

I want the lenticular slip too Isn't that Dutch?

Great looking steelbook

The movie was great, a lot of action. I am going to pre-order it with Goonies and V for Vendetta.

Dredd was freakin' amazing! Met a guy who hated it but honectly... what would he have been expecting?... Gone With The Wind? BEst use of surround I've ever heard.

Such a lazy comparison... why does it immediately have to be Gone With the Wind? Or Citizen Kane? Can't he not like it just because he didn't like it?

Because the way he put it... he was so amazed it was violent, like the concept was so outlandish... so insane. He was ranting about it! Dredd is violent... bloody it was like he was expecting the complete reverse. That's why.

I wonder how much this movie would have been enjoyed 30 years ago - or even 30 years from now.

I am super happy about this steelbook release, it really is a dream come true.
Dredd + Steelbook + Japan + Katakana + Cool Artwork + Only version to be on steelbook (this point in time) = Awesome Fantasy WIN !!!

Concept so outlandish...

Has he seen any superhero/comic book film ever made? Dredd is quite realistic compared to most of them!

First pics are out and I have to say they look kinda disappointing. Not nearly as bright and colorful as the mock-up pictures. Maybe it's bad lightning and it'll look better in-hand.

Mock-up:

That looks fantastic!
I'm hoping mine arrives in a few days or if not, early next week. Did it come with a info-card decked out in Japanese writing?

Just got slammed for £13.58 on import taxes.

I doubt I will do any more business with az.jp. Just too much cash for a few steelbooks. Chime in if anyone got customs fee's on hmv in the UK.
Thanks.
