I'm really on the fence with this one. I'm personally not a fan of these interconnected stories anymore because it seems like they've been overkilled. However, this one is a lot different than most, hence why I'm on the fence.

Have you seen it yet? They're interconnected (though only by Bateman and Grillo's characters), but it's a very small film in comparison to most that utilize the interconnected theme (Magnolia, Short Cuts, etc) and flatly rejects the schmaltz of turgid pandering like Crash. No one is sermonizing about how we have to crash into each other to feeeeeeeeeeeeeeel something and nothing is neatly tied together once it ends.

Ah I see. The only two films with the interconnectedness that I enjoyed were Magnolia and Traffic. I haven't seen Short Cuts.

I may check this out if it's the right price.

Just got done watching this. Such a great film. I enjoyed every storyline and every actor in them. It's definitely one of the most powerful films of the year. The last scene of the movie had me in tears. I just hate that
[Show spoiler]we never find out if he wakes up or not.

Right, so no Canadian release for Disconnect on home video? I noticed there's no release date for anywhere else other than the US. I live in the states, but I'll be in canada then.

Awesome that they have a release date now. I think I'll add this to my birthday list, as well. It was a film that I was so interested in, but got so busy that by the time I had the time to see it, it had come and gone already

It intrigues me a lot, and I can't wait to see Jason Bateman in another dramatic role. I don't think I have seen him in one since The Kingdom.

Had me hooked for most of it. The ending was a bit too much like a music clip for my tastes, with all the slow motion and stuff. I really liked the all of the acting, especially the kids. I think I missed a lot of the nuance of some of the characters' relationships, especially the reporter and the webcam worker guy. And yes, I there was a link between all of the stories.

Finally got the chance to see this today. I had been wanting to see this when it was in our theater for a limited time, but was unable to make the trip. This movie is definitely one of the best movies I have seen this year. Top notch acting, stories, cinematography, score. I'd prolly give it a 9/10. It was a beautiful and tragic picture. Just thought I'd give my 2 cents!
