The Lata song compilation blu-ray contains 4 songs from Chandni.
Maybe this means YRF are finally about to release this film on blu-ray.

No it hasnt yet been released, I am also waiting on this one... No Announcements either, I was wondering if they didnt release this after the Audio debacle on the Lamhe BD's.
I suppose these Chandni songs will signify what the transfer will be like when the BD does release.

I watched the Chandini songs and they did a nice job transferring!

If I were to guess, I'd say the work is done and they are rotting in some warehouse?

Can't see any thread on Aurangzeb. The BD is dispatched by LF and I am hoping to see it this weekend .

Assuming it was not a box office success in India.

It wasn't and neither did the critics appreciate it , Arjun Kapoor's performance was praised though.

I have these discs, it arrived yesterday. Watched only the Lata Mangeshkar disc, and i must say the AQ is a considerable upgrade over the movie BD's. By Jove, i think Yashraj has got it right! Their Dolby True HD (96K Upsampling) is a fuller sound on all the songs. The DTS-Master Audio tracks are as per the movie sounds. The PQ is as per normal Yashraj quality. Very Good IMHO. But the sound is amazing. Chandni songs look and sound great. Meri Hathon Mein Nau Nau Choodiyan rocked my system. Proper LFE arrangements and Vocals. Sound is not muffled. I hope they release the BD with this Dolby True HD (96K) track. Even the Lamhe songs sound far better than movie BD.

The only soundtrack that sounds a bit different is the Kabhie Kabhie Tracks, the original movie BD was released with a DTS MA 1 channel track. so its sounds weird playing on 5.1.

I'd give this release two thumbs up!

Btw these are links of these discs on the Bluray.com database:

Thank you, I am planning to get these two from India. I like all Lata Mangeshkar's songs. I wish the disc had more of her classic songs.

Hi! I was wondering if Yash Raj had remixed the CD masters for Lamhe's and Kabhi Kabhie's audio for this Lata Forever Blu-ray. IIRC, these two movies were the only two among the old titles of YRF which didn't have this kind of remastering (Silsila, Darr and Chandni AFAIK had it). I know Lamhe's Blu-ray had bad audio. So how much better is this Lata Blu-ray?

I sampled the Lata disc. Image and sound quality are uneven. Nothing really bad, though. Except one song all seem to be real HD. The sound is very loud as usual for Boyllwood soundtracks. Average quality is good. Some of the 4:3 material looks stunning. Like a carefully restored Hollywood classic. Very impressive.
