Bates Motel: Season One Blu-ray

Coming September 17, 2013!!!!

The 2-disc Blu-ray edition of Bates Motel: Season One features 1080p video, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround, an UltraViolet Digital Copy of the entire season and, for a limited time only, a set of collector cards taken from artwork on the show ("Jiao's Sketchbook").

Extras include:

Paley Center Panel Discussion with Cast and Creative Team
Deleted Scenes

Great! I thought the first season was really well done! Highly enjoyed it so I'll definitely be picking this up. Kinda sucks that season 2 is not going to air until 2014

There were ten episodes, right?

That's five to a disc. Five hours, plus however long the bonus content, about six hours...

I hope there's not any compression problems, but, the series is amazing. Vera Farmiga is outstanding.

A show that has experienced plenty of ups and downs. Whenever it was losing momentum I always stuck fat with it because of my commitment to Psycho. Hopefully season 2 is a bit more consistent.

Each episode is about 42 minutes actually.

Yeah there were a few ups and downs but it was still better than anyone kind of expected it to be.
I think the creators/writers have done a great job at balancing the Psycho mythology stuff with the 'new' stuff.

I'm anticipating that Season 2 will be better as everyone will presumably 'found their feet'. I hope the criminal underworld of the town is developed.

Most TV I've watched this year. This is one of those rare Day 1 pickups for me, particularly being a TV show.

Glad to hear it. I went into this show not expecting much and ended up really, really enjoying it. I'll definitely be purchasing. Wonderfully cast, and incredibly well acted, Vera Farmiga in particular.
