Default Wii Display Problems

Not really off-topic, but couldn't decide which forum to put it in. I'm having a display problem with my Nintendo Wii. I'm getting random pixelated spots and lines while playing it. It's not my TV, because it did the same thing on my old one. My display settings are set to 480P and widescreen (16:9). Could it be my connection? I'm using some cheap component cords that I purchased for it quite some time ago. Thanks in advance for any help.

you might be having a overheated display card issue...
Wiiconnect24 keeps heat on the unit without the fan running...I have read it can damage the display card and cause pixelation and off colors

best thing to check is to hook up the cables that came with it...if it is still like this, open a claim to send it in
