I am basically posting this so if there is anyone that will get this can review it and see if it comes with any extras or how the PQ is ...

I'd buy this too if the transfers are decent - it seems like every German/Italian genre exclusive is interlaced and/or an upconvert.

I was going to preorder it but the label's track record is sketchy from what someone told me. I'll wait and see, and let someone else be the guinea pig -- I've been burned on too many of these in the past!

Crest are releasing this and most German outlets aren't even listing it, It's not even on some of the German database sites.

Crest released Phantasm last year in the wrong aspect, Censored and it was clearly inferior to the Anchor Bay DVD.

I'd put money on this being a well shoddy release and an upscale at best, Possibly cropped to hell as well and I'm a glass half-full kinda guy too

That doesn't sound good,pity as I would certainly be interested in picking it up.
In saying that I never would have expected it to be of brilliant quality and if the price is right at some stage and since I don't own it now then maybe I will bite.(sorry about that)

Haha! That exact same scene always scared me when I was a kid as well!

Would buy this is an instant if it's a quality release.

At this point, even if it's just a upscaled disc with lossless audio, that's good enough for me.

Very dubious though that it's not even listed on the BluRay-disc.de database!

Alright any hopes of this being even a semi decent release is gone after seeing the specs for it!

Not only is it lossy audio, it's 1080i!

Expecting this to be an upscaled version of the 2 disc UK Anchor Bay DVD release from 2003.

At best it's a HDTV master at worst an upscale.

I still may be interested if it's at least from a HDTV master. I don't own the DVD & it's out of print in the US, so this may still be the least expensive option.

For £9 I'm tempted just to order it - I've not owned Alligator for years and never owned part 2 so in one sense I can't lose.......that is until Scream or someone announce a collectors edition set probably about a week after I receive this
