Drive came out less than 2 years ago and since then he has two movies releasing in 2013, working with Terrence Malick and then is writing and directing his own film. Clearly his career has gone off the rails.

Agreed. The Lone Ranger is, I think, the movie that will finally kill Depp. Guy's lost all respectability as an actor. He just does quirky things because quirky, never strays outside of safe roles, and needs to get the hell away from Tim Burton for the rest of his career. He's actually made me less interested in Transcendence than I otherwise would be.

Pirates 5 is starting to film sometime next year, and Depp is currently involved in 2 more productions, so you're wrong there. Also, wasn't he nominated for an Oscar for Jack Sparrow?
