United Kingdom Will We See a Cloud Atlas Steelbook????

Seen this film twice now, absolutely love it. Although the film was only released a week ago in the UK I'm really hoping somewhere releases it as a steelbook (hopefully in the UK too). One special feature I really want on the discs is the ability to select a time period and it'll edit all the little segments together to make mini movies, so you'll end up with 6 or 7 small movies to watch on their own, as well as the main feature. With Blu-ray technology and storage capacity this can easily be done....

snooloui is right. Your thread title edit only actually changed the title of the first post. A MOD needs to take care of the finer details for you. Hopefully it won't take too long. MODS can be on the ball with these forums.

I would imagine so, the distributor is Warner Bros. right? They always make steelbooks. I still need to see this movie, I wanted to wait until home release because I'd rather relax at home than sit in a theatre for like 4 hours. I hope futureshop makes a steelbook.

This almost looks like it could be. Is it? This is one of two listings for a French release...

The better question is "is there any movies that won't get a steelbook release?" The steelbook bubble is about the burst.

Looks like it indeed! Especially since the image says "artwork not final" on it. I hope it changes. That's too simple of a design for such a beautifully complex film.

That's what I was thinking too, but they updated the artwork, it now seems like the final one, and they describe this "Cloud Atlas - Ultimate Edition Limitée" as a "Blu-ray boxset with slipcover".

However, I find it weird that amazon says it is a limited edition because there's no other French Blu-ray release apparently (why would you do it as a limited edition then?) and also this mysterious page is still up. Could it be ?

I hope so, it deserves it, it's baffling that there hasn't been a steelbook edition of Cloud Atlas anywhere in the world yet, the studio has got to know it has the potential to sell extremely well.

It's only one of the few recent films that need a steelbook release. Of the top of my head, I'm also wishing steelbooks for The Master, Flight, Lincoln, Silver Linings Playbook, Zero Dark Thirty (a wider release than Best Buy exclusive, that is), Oz : The Great and Powerful (I know there's the priceless BluFan exclusive coming up on the Chinese interwebs but I can't believe there won't be another steelbook edition elsewhere), The Croods, Gatsby, The Impossible, Savages, Killer Joe... and that's just US films released late 2012/2013 that I think would be suited for steelbook treatment (okay, maybe not Flight, SLP or The Croods, but still, I'd love it if they got one).

I really wish they would. Especially it being a WB title. Hoping for a Gatsby steelbook, too...

The Gatsby steelbook should just be the two reverse J's back to back and the gold design around them like on his door in the movie. Would be perfect and make a gorgeous steel.

On another note i'm also SHOCKED Cloud Atlas hasn't had a steelbook release.. seems like a movie that'd be perfect for it.
