Default ImportCDs: Good prices on Shout/Scream titles

They're selling Shout and Scream titles for pretty good prices. Most of the big scream titles are around $15.

These prices are pretty normal. The shipping kills it.

Ive used Importcds.com twice now they have been very good with Olive film releases of late and im eyeing some of their newer Shoutfactory releases. Buying Timerider & Electra Glide in Blue from amazon would cost me about $32 and change. the same items on Importcds would cost me $28 and change. It depends on what you are ordering BUT i have seen big differences in their olive films and Shout factory offerings. Im in a state that chages sales tax btw

I suppose if you live in the U.S and can get things with free shipping elsewhere that's true, but for those of us outside the U.S, even with the higher shipping rates, it's a good deal. Just thought I would share anyway in case anyone wants to go for it.

I've used importcds a few times now and every time things have arrived in perfect condition.

You can get both of those for $32 and change at B&N right now, plus another movie for free. Both of those are included in the B2G1 free sale.

They don't have free shipping in the US though... first movie is $2.99 to ship and each additional adds $1.49. So for example 4 movies, it is $7.46 for shipping.

Their shipping per item fee kills a lot of the better deals on the site.

What are my chances of receiving Halloween II with the slipcover (and in excellent shape)?

With slip probably good. In good shape? All depends on how it is shipped. Got my copy of The Burning and the corners are beat to heck. Since BB doesn't even carry it I would have to return and re buy......

Even AMZ is bad about these coming messed up. I would say try Import and or just order from Shout.

He said that for those of us who live in the U.S. and can get things with free shipping elsewhere it may not be as good of a deal.

Odd that this thread was moved out of the main Movie and TV Deals forum. I found it to be very useful information, as the link provided some better than average prices on othewise higher than average priced releases.

Agreed. Shout titles are usually $18-22, so $15 for each plus the 10% discount is pretty nice.

If you're ordering from outside the US, avoid ImportCDs.

This is their view of a sufficient packaging for 3 Blu-rays with slipcovers(not that I care for them). I live in Scandinavia.

Shout itself is great when it comes to resolving issues. I ordered Halloween 2 off Amazon and the Blu's audio was not in-synch. Contacted them and in 2 days I received a new DVD. Contacted them again and they said they're sorry and sent me a Blu replacement and told me to keep the extra DVD.

Not lately. I contacted them twice about a missing slipcover (and offered to pay for it) and was told both times it was not their problem and I should buy from them directly next time. I imagine I'd get the same response if I was contacting them over a defective disc.

Sorry to hear...

Compared to other online companies, they were probably the best I've dealt with in a while.
