Default Disney/Pixar

Just watching CNBC and Disney/Pixar are talking to shareholders....giving out 11 previously unannounced titles for upcoming films....watching now....more soon.....Pixar is doing a 3D animation film in (I think they said) 2010...

Will update after commercials :-(

Anybody else hear any of this?

I think I heard this too, that Pixar's next project would be a 3d animated film.
*rolleyes*

Pixar announcing a 3D flick is pointless? I think it is a big deal. Perhaps you wont be excited, but I am sure some will be. It was a financial meeting, not an entertainment meeting, and therefore more about bolstering confidence in shareholders than giving out specific titles and dates....just updating them on whats in the pipeline.

Stuff like this really should go in the Movies & TV Discussion section. Not the Blu-Ray section.

Toy Story 3 is the 3D theatrical release in 2010. Leading up to it Disney/Pixar will release Toy Story 1 & 2 for a theatrical run with 3D enhancements. They have made no announcements regarding blu-ray for these titles, but I would suspect that they will see blu shortly after their theatrical releases. All this was known well before today's shareholder meeting...just search.

Were the other 8 "previously unannounced" titles well known? When I hear previously unannounced, I figure they are unknown until now.

Just repeating what I saw/heard.....link to report..."eleven NEW animated films to hit theaters over the next 4 years"

I seriously doubt anyone at Disney would go through with that. Sequels, possibly. Remakes, unlikely.

These will not all be 3D.
They are working on a variety of things now, including 3D animation, 2D animation, and Live Action! really.
"John Carter of Mars" is the main project for Live Action right now, and I really have to wonder what they are going to do with this. But I look forward to an official announcement about it. Plus the latest 2D film they will make is called "Fly", and another rumored to be "The Princess and the Frog".
I know about the Toy Story sequel as well, so that makes 4 so far... we'll see what they do soon enough though if they plan to get these out within 4 years.

I'm for Quality not Quantity....Their track record hasn't been all that great for adults viewing these things. I want the Toy Story 1 and 2 caliber movies. Ratatouille and Incredibles were good movies, not great though.
