Default Pixar/Disney News announcement.

I am thrilled to see the Pixar/Disney announcement, but I am afraid people do not understand what it is announcing.
Josh, can you please please please edit this a bit to clarify? Everyone seems to think this is the Blu-ray release schedule, but it is not. This is only the Theatrical releases but everyone keeps asking when Nemo or Incredibles is coming out!
It would be a great help to clear this up if the announcement said somewhere that this is not the Blu-ray release schedule.
Thanks.

I would have pmed him, maybe...might get faster results.
The average person should know these are unreleased titles going to theater first and most likely will be released on blu-ray within 6 months of the theatrical run, so these dates for blu-ray may be closer than you think.

Im not saying these won't be out on Blu-ray within that time frame, but that this list does not include those titles coming out to Blu-ray and NOT to the theater. Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, these are not being re-released to the theaters but they are slated for Blu-ray release, yet they are not on the list. People seemed to not understand this. There is in fact a statement at the bottom of the page telling people this but it seems to have not been quite clear enough for many. Lots of people were commenting asking why Nemo et al are not headed to Blu... but that is just cause they didn't read it right. They are not coming to theaters, Blu-ray is a different matter.

I won't bug them with a PM since I am sure they are busy enough as is.

Officially?
I don't think they have officially been announced yet but there is more than enough evidence to show that they are going to release something. They hinted at it several times saying they will release another Pixar classic when Wall*E is released (either to theaters or BD, not sure). I heard it was to be Nemo but they have not officially said anything.
Still, they are going to release their titles to Blu-ray this year and next, it is just a matter of time. This announcement doesn't cover those kinds of releases but it seems people couldn't read the statement at the bottom of the page.

Its actually a mix of both theatrical and straight-to-video dates. I'll edit to explain.

Thanks.

Yeah I think they are all "NEW" releases as in new titles and not catalogue titles.
I figured that the Tinkerbell series is not theatrical and straight to video only.

yes, please. It is a clear violation of the TOS. I have to wonder why he even decided to post anything there at all?

I loved Cars. In fact, I've never seen a Pixar film of any kind that I *didn't* like.

I think the original plan was to release one catalog title at the same time as the lastest film arrives on Blu, since last year was Cars, then it would have meant The Incredibles should be this year. Then, somehow the plan changed to Finding Nemo this year for some reason. Now, just a while back, we got word that Nemo was now next year, which could put the original plan back into effect, meaning that The Incredibles would be this year. But, I'm now also thinking that it could easily be a new 10th Anniversary Edition of A Bug's Life. Or could it be both, in addition to Wall-E? Would be nice, but I'm not holding my breathe.
