Default Fright Night 2 : New Blood Oct 1

Fright Night 2: New Blood Blu-ray

Ok is it just me or did they just remake Fright Night....AGAIN

Fright Night 2: New Blood (2013)

When high school student Charlie attends a study abroad program with his horror obsessed friend "Evil" Ed and ex-girlfriend AMY in Romania, he soon discovers their young attractive professor Gerri (Jaime Murray) is a real life vampire. Too bad no one believes him. In fact, Evil Ed finds it amusing and it only feeds his vampire obsession. When Gerri turns Ed, Charlie seeks out Peter Vincent, the infamous vampire hunter (well, he plays one on TV) who is in Romania filming his show "Fright Night," to teach him how to take down Gerri before she gets to Amy, who’s blood will cure Gerri of spending eternity as a vampire.

anyone else disappointed?

Why make a sequel to the 2011 remake??? I swear Hollywood will make anything and everything into a sequel these days.

The remake wasn't bad. I would have rather seen Fright Night 3, but Roddy McDowall is long gone. It would be nothing without him. That said, I would have prefered an actual sequel to the remake rather than a remake of the remake called a sequel. I enjoyed David Tennant's character quite a bit and would have enjoyed him, at least, to return.

I'll definitely give it a shot. Probably not very good though.

It doesn't even sound like a sequel to the remake even though it's called Fright Night 2. Evil Ed I thought died in the last film and Peter Vincent wasn't a vampire hunter on TV, he was a magician.

It sounds like they are calling it Fright Night 2 but really it's going to be completely different.

It sounds like a remake of the remake... Weird. I'll probably watch it anyways.

Interesting that Fox is releasing this, considering that Disney released the remake.

I'm going to watch this, but it's seriously a direct to dvd remake of the remake of Fright Night, except I guess what makes this one Fright Night 2 is it's a female vampire this time.

They really need to re word that summary or re shoot a better script.

I didn't think the remake was all that bad either, but still I don't think it needs a sequel. I'm not a big horror movie freak just certain ones.

DreamWorks sold the rights forward. Bummer, I knew there was going to be a sequel, and that it was going to be DTV, but I thought it was Sony's Stage 6 films doing it and it WAS going to be a direct sequel to the 2011 film with new actors, I guess some thing changed.

Funny how the picture for this one is similar to the poster for 'Fright Night Part 2' (1988).

I'm seriously confused by this announcement. The story is closer to the original Fright Night, only "abroad". Evil Ed is magically alive and still friends with Charlie and Jerry is now a woman... How can a sequel to a remake be another remake of the same movie? This makes no sense.
