Default Walk The Line (2005) Blu-Ray

Is it time to do a release of the extended edition with a better transfer than the original? The original transfer was too grainy, detail was soft, blacks were crushed, and it suffered from contrast issues. The sound also needs a 7.1 mix. Granted, that means we'd have to suffer Witherspoon's voice in 7 speakers (), but the 5.1 doesn't do the film justice. And the extras from the extended DVD should be ported to the new release and add more, never-before-seen content. I know you have to import the UK one but I like to have my disc Region 1 for the sake of consistency with my other discs.

What do you think?

Fine, but not as good as it should. I'm not saying the film was perfect, but it does deserve a better release here. The scene where Cash is stumbling through the woods in the rain looked awful.

I'd love to see a U.S. release of the extended cut on Blu-Ray. I think the video and audio is great on the current release, though a 7.1 mix would be nice. As for Reese's voice, I mean no disrespect to the deceased, but she sang much better than June Carter.

If you want the extended edition, just get the UK release. It's region free. That's the version I have and I it's definitely the version to go with if you want this.
