Default The Departed Steelbook -- any special features?

There hasn't been much discussion about The Departed lately. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger at $9.99 on the May 2013 Steelbook. Does anybody have it, and can you list the special features? Does it have a Scorsese commentary?

Do you know if the 2013 Steelbook has all the material from the 2007 blu? That's what I'm basically asking.

Yes, it's the same disc. I don't think Scorsese ever did a commentary track for The Departed either.

I have both the regular release, and the steelbook. The discs are identical.

On a side note, I love your profile picture. Jonny Quest is one of my all time favorite shows.

Do all of those new steelbooks have inside artwork or are they basically like all of those best buy exclusives from before?

All you had to do was use Google to search for "Departed Blu-ray Steelbook" to find pictures of the item, including the inside.

So why didn't you say that instead of posting the link?

Or a simple yes or no answer to my question would've been much faster and easier than you searching for a forum and copy and paste the link. Just a suggestion. I'm done though, I'm not the type to go back and forth on pointless things. Thanks for your help though, I did find it in your link, I'm not a fan of google.

The new 2013 Steel-books all lack artwork, my friend, except for Watchmen I believe. You can find most of these Steel-books at Walmart for the same price. I personally passed on this The Departed release since it is my professional opinion that the cover is horrendous. I prefer the standard case version with the actors' faces, but alas, I'm certain many will have different preferences. Good wishes on your shopping journey, my good man.

Walmart got rid of the catalog Steelbooks and MetalPaks.

Wrong. You sound like an ask jeeves kind of guy old chap, so I won't ask you to google it, but do re-focus the ol' monocle and give it the old college try again.

Thanks for the answer. None of the Walmarts around me had these though. I wasn't interested in the Departed, I already have the Canadian version, I was mostly wondering for any of the others.

I concede. You could once find The Departed at Walmart, but this moment is already behind us, gentlemen. Gone are the days in which we could relish in the abundance of Steel-books at the convenience of a casual drive. Let us grieve in silence.

The Canadian version includes inside artwork.

Also, it should be noted, which ever Blu-ray you buy, it is missing the excellent 85 min. "Scorsese on Scorsese" doc. which was on the DVD.

Best piece of info in this thread. I had my 2-disc Departed DVD in my U&S pile, but it will lay there no longer. Welcome back to my collection proper, The Departed DVD. I may yet explore your exclusive documentary. It's the steelbook DVD no less. I really need to pay attention to these things more.

I almost upgraded to the Fifth Element Blu-ray, until I turned the packaging over and saw nothing more than a trivia track listed. Say wha?
