Pre-orders up when the movie just hits theaters. This is the new norm people

Anyways...I'm going to see this tomorrow. It looks promising, but I'll be getting it on BD either way to complete the X-men collection.

Very disappointed with this film, had real high hopes to with James Mangold directing.
Dull, repetitive and overlong.

Very good movie for me.

Not too much superheroics or mutants. A personal journey, and a bit serious/gritty.

I just wish that glove is wearable! lol

Howcome the 3D version, it says COLLECTOR'S ED? Cuz it have the DVD and the 2D only dont?

UPDATE: In Amazon, the 2D is called a COMBO PACK, and the temp cover says BLU-RAY + DVD + DIGITAL HD.

The 3D as I said, is just called COLLECTOR'S ED.

Wolverine fans who have longed to see the Marvel mutant on the big screen in his blood-spattered berserker glory may get the chance when James Mangold’s film arrives on Blu-ray and DVD.

“I’m very happy with the cut, and the studio was very generous in terms of letting me finish the movie as I wanted,” the director tells DigitalSpy, “but I do think we will have a slightly more violent version … let’s say an unrated, a bloodier version. There’s about 10 or 12 minutes of scenes that I’d love people to see, that we’ll produce some kind of longer version of the movie at some point on Blu-ray or whatever. There’s another great scene with Hiro Sanada and a much more elaborate battle with ninjas from the third act that is a pretty huge battle sequence that you’ll see.”

So we may see an unrated version possibly? Seeing the wolverine today in 2d I heard the 3d isn't that good since its post converted. Why can't studios afford the money to actually shoot the movie in 3d? Out of all the summer movies we've seen have been post converted 3d!!!

the majority of the people don't really care for 3D, so studios look at it as why spend the extra money if less than 30% of the people rather see 2D and 70% don't like 3D or don't want to spend the extra money.. 3D will be gone in another 3-5 years unless sales pick up

I loved it. I'll be getting it as soon as I can wrap my grubby little mits around that wonderful slipcover. Hopefully Fox doesn't melt the plastic wrap on the spine like they always do.

The X-Men: The Adamantium Collection only contains 2-D Blu-ray releases

A family member that I know is an X-MEN fan that currently owns all 5 X-MEN Blu-ray’s. I was researching the X-Men complete Blu-ray collection since it has all 6 Blu-ray movies and an exclusive bonus Blu-ray with extra features. What is disappointing is that this complete X-Men collection does not come with Wolverine in 3-D, which is a deal breaker for me.

Therefore, the best version of the X-Men collection for 3-D fans is to purchase the X-Men movies separately and then purchase the Wolverine 3-D Blu-ray that also comes with the 2-D version of Wolverine on a second Blu-ray disc.

What is interesting is that the artwork picture link here at Blu-ray.com currently shows a Blu-ray 3-D Wolverine included in the Adamantium collection, however at the official Amazon site the artwork and description clearly mentions that only the 2-D version of Wolverine is included. I have uploaded the correct artwork at Blu-ray.com that shows the correct X-Men artwork with the 2-D version of Wolverine, and the picture is waiting for approval.

Thanks for that!

You think the regular 3D(called COLLECTORS ED) have the bonus disc though? I mean, why call it that right? Just like the Prometheus Collector's Ed.

Saw the movie in 3D last night. While I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, there was little-to-no 3D to speak of. What a rip-off.

I don't think it will. Collector's edition doesn't mean anything nowadays.

Set looks cool, but since I own the first five films plus the fact that parts 1-3 are missing their bonus discs I won't bother double dipping so I'll most likely just get the 3D combo of The Wolverine.

You made an excellent point that I forgot to mention in my post. The bonus Blu-ray discs are not included in the Adamantium Collection which is also a deal breaker for me. Why should one sell their 5 Blu-ray movies and downgrade to a collection that is missing a total of 3 Blu-ray bonus discs from the original trilogy collection?

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/X-Men-Trilogy-Blu-ray/3761/

Buying separate releases allows consumers to get 3 Blu-ray bonus discs and also the Wolverine movie in 3-D.
