Ridley Scott's 'Exodus' (Christian Bale) - Blu-ray Forum

Exodus will shoot in Spain, Morocco and England.

The project had picked up steam earlier this year when Steve Zaillian came on board to do a rewrite on Adam Cooper and Bill Collage's original draft.

Peter Chernin, who bought the project as a pitch, is producing alongside Scott. Both Chernin and Scott are based at Fox, as is Zaillian and Garrett Basch's Film Rites.

Edgerton, whose previous credits include the critically acclaimed crime drama Animal Kingdom, broke out in Gavin O'Connor's 2011 MMA drama Warrior. He recently stepped into O'Connor's Jane Got a Gun opposite Natalie Portman. The Aussie actor also is onboard to star opposite Michael Shannon in Jeff Nichol's sci-fi film Midnight Special at Warner Bros.

I'm sorry, but they need a more middle eastern looking Moses and Pharaoh, but alas, it is white Hollywood, and I'm still looking forward to what they'll be doing with this one.

Here's to hoping it doesn't stray too terribly far from the Biblical narrative.

I'm sure he'll probably do a good job of portraying a passionate but self-doubting Moses.

Sadly, there are very few "real" composers left for films like this.

when has this ever been an issue with Ridley Scott? his movies have great music.

Meh. The ponderous biblical epic, not a genre I have much desire to see make a comeback...

Buh? Aside from Jerry Goldsmith's Alien and Legend, Scott movies have TERRIBLE soundtracks...nothing but buzzing noise.

I guess you never heard Zimmer's score for The Last Samurai, The Fan, The Thin Red Line, Inception, Black Hawk Down, Pearl Harbor, Gladiator, Crimson Tide, True Romance, A League of Their Own, Back Draft.. The Man is the best in the business and he's not just one dimensional.. just because he did the scores the Nolan's Batman's he shouldn't be just recognized for that

Exactly, I've been waiting for that Brave New World adaptation for a while now.

I wouldn't trust what Ridley Scott is doing next until there's a trailer.

That being said between this and Noah I see an interesting pattern of atheists interested in adapting bible stories.

This could be great if it happens!
