I didn't think it was all that terrible.. It had some good moments but I can see how people may dislike it.

I don't know why he chose that movie to make. A great director, with a great cast, crew, sfx team, and all the stars aligned could not of made everyone happy with this movie. Before he started he had a built in group of people who would not accept it no mater how great it turned out. I think he did the only thing he could do, keep the basic premise and try something a little different with MM. I thought it was a decent horror flick, nothing spectacular. I really liked his first two movies and wish he would of stayed away from a remake for his third.

he could of made a slasher movie without calling it Halloween and MM and it would have been ok but as a halloween film it just does'nt work.

I liked Halloween a million times better than House Of 1000 Corpses. I've sat through that one three times and I've found it utterly stupid every time. But it did answer the oft-asked question, "What happened to the guy from 'Singled Out'"?

I'm quite a fan of Rob Zombie's music, but strangely enough, I've never seen one of his movies. Considering some of my obscure tastes in movies, I think I might like House of 1000 Corpses () and although I haven't seen the original Halloween film or any of its sequels, it doesn't really sound like this remake was necessary.

well house of 1000 corpses's has more cartoon vibe to it (a dark twisted nasty cartoon mind you) while devil's rejects is more realstic and gritty.

i prefer house from what i remember but i think the portyal of the characters in devil's rejects is better.

I thought it was kind of weak.

I didn´t like the chubby blond kid (known as Michael Myers...)
I don´t know why... but it was a wrong cast.

and all this obsession with mask building stuff,...

something was wrong about all this... hm....

I loved R.Z.'s Halloween. I thought it was really well done. I like the fact that they went into the asylum with him and showed some of that stuff. I don't have any other reasons except that it struck a nerve with me, that's all.

As a huge fan of the original Halloween I shuddered at the thought of a re-make and I was right. RZ Halloween was garbage in my opinion and was no different then any other re-make they have done in the past such as The Fog as an example.

He said from day one that this would not be a re-make so to speak,he said it would be a combination of things. If I can find that article I will post it .If people watched it thinking you would see it being true to the original, then I can see why a lot of people didn't care for it

I don't want to see it because the original Halloween is my favorite horror movie. That and everything Rob Zombie does (that he feels is creative) is a pure crapfest in my opinion.

i am a huge fan of Halloween and rob zombie. this remake didn't exactly fit the Halloween series but i thought it was still a good Rob Zombie movie, fast paced, crude, etc. etc.

The problem with the movie itself was that Rob Zombie changed pretty much everything about the legacy of Halloween. Michael Myers did not come from a screwed up family. He has a perfectly normal family. He was just plainly evil. That's all there is to it, no need to explore it.

It was a different movie, only they used the title, Halloween and used the same names for their characters.

Horrible remake. This was only an outlet for Rob's hillbilly psychoporn fantasies. So much made little or no sense and the characters were so deplorable that even Michael Myers couldn't give them the death they deserved.

His only decent movie so far has been The Devils Rejects. I do, however, enjoy his music.

Just watched it then. Unbelievable. Tied with The Butterfly Effect as being the most depressing movie I've ever seen. It's hard to tell whether it's good or not during the first act, I mean, it's good but it's so hard to watch. Once he escapes, it pretty much goes downhill from there. Although the thing that redeems most of it is Malcolm McDowell's mere presence. Gotta love that guy.

Yes this film was awful and did not need to be made. The great thing about Michael Myers is that you didn't know what made him tick and this had to have some terrible backstory. Not one thing is good about it, not only was it a bad "re-imagining" of the original but as a movie itself it was trash.

I liked the movie. I'm not sure why many of you were expecting a plot or story line equivalent to an Oscar winner from Zombie. He makes movies that are crude, slightly insane, and always contain gratuitous violence and nudity.

I liked the original, and I liked the differences in this one as well. I liked how he Michael was purely evil in the remake but came from a dejected family in the first. The actors weren't that great, but again, it is a Rob Zombie flick. I like his style, and I like this movie. I would definitely buy it if it came out on Bluray.

I like his music but not the Halloween remake. It was a good spin but they shouldn't try to remake the classics.
