MOH Warfighter sniper glitch!

I bought MOH Warfighter recently and I am currently playing the game but I am stuck on the sniper portion of the mission Shore Leave. I am getting my crosshair DEAD ON on the targets and ill fire...but no cigar! The guys dont die! Ill try 3 4 5 6 times and then ill get them. Is there a glitch? Hit detection buggy or something? What gives!?
