Aaaaaarrrrggggghhhhh,

I hated it. Had to turn it off half way (I have the French release). It is a re-make of Love Crime which is way better.

Ultra-stylish thriller that completely and very convincingly outdoes the French film that inspired it. A real pleasure to watch!

Top soundtrack by the 'old link', Pino Donaggio, yet again.

As for the original film, I thought it was rather dull and visually flat, especially compared to De Palma's stylistic tour de force.

WARNING: Do not watch any trailers for this film. The one embedded on the announcement page on this site, for example, gives away more than 3/4 of the entire plot. It's practically a Cliffs Notes of the film.

I flippin' loved this movie. I was pleasantly surprised at how very funny and playful it was. McAdams was hilarious in her role. I'm starting to appreciate her more and more. I'll definitely be scooping up the Blu Ray. Is it my favorite film of De Palma's? No. Is it a beautiful film and return to form for him? Yes.

In full agreement here. And this comes from someone who has a tremendous amount of respect for the late Alain Corneau's work.

Okay with all the love for it I think I better re-watch. Ignore my previous comment. I will try and watch forgetting Love Crime as much as I can.

Also, Noomi Rapace is AMAZING in this film. A far better showcase for her talents than the mess that was Prometheus and Dead Man Down. The scene where she's humiliated at the company party is so much more powerful here than in the original film, the bit where she is completely mortified, tearing up -- brilliant work.
