Compatible onkyo 606 speakers

Paradigm Monitor 7's or the Monitor 9's you'll be happy.

Where did you get the 606, I was under the impression it wasn't out yet

Speakers should sound good to you, it doesn't matter too much what other people have.

Its selling at around SGD800 including taxes in singapore now. Is KEF KHT3005 good to go with onkyo 606? understand is 8 ohms. The max setting i can set my 606 is only 6homs.

My Paradigm Mini-Monitors were a good match with Onkyo. I just upgraded to the Marantz 8002 yesterday (and added 2 Monitor 7 v.3's to the front).

As I told someone in another thread, but used Paradigm speakers on E-bay and you'll save a huge bundle. Don't be afraid to buy something several versions back (stay away from the really old SE version). They all sound awesome, but I'm not a fan of the monitor 3 or older Monitor 9, as they have a larger/slower midrange. I would suggest Mini-Monitors in version 1,2, or 3 to save cash. They will all match up very well.

Use your savings to purchase a matching Paradigm sub. I own the PDR-12, and it's great. The Paradigm subs usually have a nice internal amp.

You could get 4 used Mini-monitors and matching Center Channel speaker for probably around $600 to $700. Add a matching Paradigm 10" PDR or PS sub for under $200, and your system will sound absolutely incredible. It'll blow the doors off of anything below $1,500 easily. Try to get a 12" sub, like me... I liked it better than the 10". You just set the receiver's speaker setting to "small" and everying below 80hz is sent to the sub output.

You could go even cheaper and get used Atoms from Paradigm, and get a sub, and it'll stills sound great. I prefer the Mini-monitors, though. All of these speakers will last you 15-20 years easily. They're built very solid. My 8 year-old Minis are still very stunning.
