I just pre-ordered from Amazon for the Blu-ray buy day. I'm kicking myself, because I should have waited three hours and got it in on the 21st in the USA time zone.

It's the 21st here.

Only one soundtrack but it's David Attenborough, so it sounds soothing and enthusiastic. Your boss will be so captivated by the images he'll not notice! And has clear subtitulos en español.

Baccus, cancel and re-order?

Everything I have read or seen on Planet Earth has said that is 1080P. It was recorded in HD anyway so no reason as to why it can't be. Makes me so excited to watch this.

Default If you want quality

Not to beat a beaten path, but if you're even considering buying Planet Earth, (and even if you're not!) don't hesitate, it's one of the greatest video ever produced by man, a record of Nature.
And specially for us 21rst Century dwellers, and those that spend much or all of their time in concrete cities, a soothing balm for our eyes and mind. That this program is available to have in high definition 1080p is amazing.

Having this will justify all your high definition religion
And it'll justify it for all your family and friends

and yes. I double posted this. Sosumi

Glad I pre-ordered. I think I'll buy a new 1080p 50" DLP to go with it

Default Planet Earth With English: Dolby Digital TrueHD 5.1

This seems to be the case only with HD and not with Warner's release of it on DB. Now I am not totally certain about this ... does anyone have an insight of this being true?

amazon.com just lowered their price to 66.99

And with their pre-order guarantee you won't pay more than the actual price, even if it was more when you ordered.

On Amazon.com, both the BD and HD DVD versions now have this note:

Quote:
• To our valued customers: Due to overwhelming demand, we are temporarily back-ordered on Planet Earth. You may still purchase this title, and we'll send it to you as soon as our new stock arrives in May.
Considering I pre-ordered it on March 30, how come I had to wait until today to find out I won't be getting it?

Unbelievable.

As an aside: I don't know if it happens to people in the US, but for me whenever a title is out of stock or delayed the entire order is delayed. Sometimes rediculously (like 4-6 weeks). The other titles I had ordered along with Planet Earth were held up too.

Default Where is Planet Earth?

I've been to Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy & Circuit today and no one has Planet Earth for blu-ray. Wasn't it supposed to come out today 4/24?

FYI, wal-mart.com has it for $66 and change. Best Buy's price is $100.
