Question My Death Valley Season One DVD is Bootleg?

Hello, all.

I just purchased Death Valley Season One DVD from Amazon. The artwork and case both looks great. But something is bugging me since I opened the case. While the disc itself works fine, the bottom surface's color looks different from any common DVD. It looks like a bootleg or DVD-R, CMIIW. Even the label looks kinda made by cheap material.

My question, is it possible reliable and trustworthy online store like Amazon selling bootleg DVDs? Or maybe one of you here had also bought this DVD before? What do you think? Or is it just me?

Hi,

Just read the Amazon listing, in which it states:

"This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply. This product is expected to play back in DVD Video "play only" devices, and may not play in other DVD devices, including recorders and PC drives."

So, it seems that this is a series that is manufactured as-and-when it is ordered, and is therefore an official release. Hope that helps. See here, and go to the part where it says "Editorial Review", and you will see the relevant notes.

These discs are burnt on demand which means the studio makes a copy using a DVD-R.they are legit.a lot more studios are starting to do this instead of mass producing tons of them that more than likely end up sitting on the shelf.

Hey, Pooch & jmb1381, thanks for the enlightenment. Didn't notice that. Silly me.
