Can anyone tell me the specs of the 80gb PS3?
And is it true there maybe a UK version out in June?

Thanks air_max if there's not much difference between the 80 and the 60, I'll can settle for the 60.

the 60 is better. but i doubt you can find any now. unless you are very lucky.

you might want to check amazon.co.uk they probably still have it in stock.

Still don't understand why Sony discontinued it?

Sony discontinued the 60 gig model to reduce their manufacturing costs.

The 60 gig model contains the PS2's "Broadband" processor and graphics chipset for hardware driven backward compatibility. For the newer 80 gig model, the Broadband processor was removed in favor of software emulation for PS2 compatibility.

The US 80GB and UK 60GB systems are the same except for the HDD capacity.
