looks like its gonna be a dude. dunno how i feel about that. i kinda thought playing as a woman is what set it apart

With a dude as the lead, it does give an all new inneundo esque quality to the title though. But still, give us a hot chick lead. That was half the fun.

Possibilities!

Heavenly Sword 2 doesn't exist, the rumours are false.
Ninja Theory are developing two games, HS2 exclusively for PS3 and another multiplatform game with the concept art already released.
SCEE sold Heavenly Sword IP ownership to Ninja Theory or a third party publisher so HS2 is the multiplatform title. (extremely unlikely)
Ninja Theory aren't developing Heavenly Sword 2..

Something tells me Sony's not ready to drop Heavenly Sword yet.

Yeah, we know Kratos is a player lol. I've never seen games change the main character before. It's kind of like replacing Nathan Drake from Uncharted with a woman.

It doesn't make sense.

Cause then you have a scantily clad male lead...might appeal to some people...not myself personally...but still

Personally, regardless if it would be a male or female lead...I would LOVE to see a sequel to Heavenly Sword.

Yeah, without a female lead it loses some interest for me. Bad enough no Nariko, but the female lead is what set it apart from other stuff. Also, with Ninja Theory not developing, one wonders how it would be anyway. With a male lead, I'd rather play GOW 3.

For those who hate wading through translation-toolspeak, I did a rough translation of the original French text into English.

It's not a big surprise, but still good to know: Heavenly Sword 2 is in development. At least, that's what the American Official PlayStation Magazine claims. The title is set about 10 years after the first, and this time you take the role of a male hero. Awaiting further confirmation from Sony.
