Gilles Bourdos' latest film, Renoir (2012), starring Michel Bouquet, Christa Theret, Romane Bohringer, and Vincent Rottiers, is set to be released on Blu-ray on November 5th.

Last year, Renoir had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Côte d'Azur. 1915. In his twilight years, Pierre-Auguste Renoir is tormented by the loss of his wife, the pains of arthritic old age and the terrible news that his son Jean has been wounded in action. But when a young girl miraculously enters his world, the old painter is filled with a new, wholly unexpected energy. Blazing with life, the radiantly beautiful Andrée will become his last model, and the wellspring of a remarkable rejuvenation.

Any idea if this will have extras Pro-B?

I watched the UK DVD today from Soda Pictures, and enjoyed it. Was surprised it got an age rating of 12 here with all the nudity (including full frontal).

Interested in double dipping for an English friendly Blu, that is for sure.

Also, it seems Bourdos is a better director than the average 2006 effort Afterwards made him look.

My colleague Jeff is actually handling this release for the site and I am sure he will have a review up soon.

I don't have an early copy to confirm to you the extras that are on the disc.

Thanks, I anticipate Jeffrey's review. The Soda DVD only has trailers which is a shame. I sent Soda an e-mail to see if they had any intention of a Blu-ray also.

I have placed that Axiom release in my wishlist!
