[PSP/PC]The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter
Quote:
Following yesterday’s tease, Xseed have announced that they will be publishing The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC (Second Chapter) digitally on the PC and PSP sometime in 2014.
Additionally, the first chapter of the series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, will be making its way to PC this winter. Xseed originally published the game in English for the PSP in 2011.
While Xseed will be handling publishing duties on Trails in the Sky SC, the game is being translated by Carpe Fulgur, the localization studio behind Recettear.
“We are pleased to finally give the fans what they have been requesting so fervently for over two years,” said Ken Berry, Executive Vice President of Xseed. “There’s been a constant demand ever since we released the original The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, and we are extremely grateful for our partnership with the passionate localizers at Carpe Fulgur to finally make it a reality.”
Trails in the Sky SC begins immediately after the events of the prior game. According to Xseed’s description, “Following the explosive revelations at the very end of Trails in the Sky, Estelle feels adrift and must find her resolve along with friends both old and new, and face down the true architects of the chaos engulfing Liberl—a force far more powerful and insidious than she could ever have imagined.”
Next year, XSEED will publish The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC for PC and PSP in North America. Both versions of the game will be released as downloads, and XSEED have contracted Recettear publisher Carpe Fulgur to translate.
Aside from the game’s PC and PSP versions, XSEED say on their Facebook page that they’re also looking into the PlayStation 3 version of Trails in the Sky SC that was recently released in Japan. An XSEED representative stated, “We’re looking into the PS3 versions, but let’s focus on PC/PSP first.”
Additionally, XSEED say they’re looking into a European release of the game as well.
