Default Could Christopher Nolan be suited for a Johnny Cash biopic?

I think it'd be interesting. I mean Cash's life has all the Nolan narrative trademarks: Cash lost someone he loved (brother), a mental sickness (drug addiction), obsession over something (religion), and trying to redeem himself. I'm sure there are more trademarks but it just seems to click to me with Nolan directing and writing a Johnny Cash biopic. I would love to see one that chronicles from when he was a child to when he dies. And knowing Nolan, he would want things to be as real as possible so I bet he would actually have his actors sing live a la Les Miserables.

But what do you think?

We don't need another Johnny Cash biopic. However, while it could work, Nolan isn't really the biography type of guy.

I think we do. That last biopic was awful and is plain Oscar bait. And Nolan was working on a Howard Hudges biopic until Scorsese made one first.

After Walk the Line, I don't think Hollywood will be tackling Johnny's life again anytime soon.

That's a sad thought.

It wasn't great. The only thing great was Phoenix but everyone else was pretty mediocre.

Nah. He'd cast Amy Adams as June.

This is not up for discussion the people have spoken. No more cash biopic movies.

And what did WTL do that was right? Jon Stewart said it best when he said it was Ray with white people.

I have the perfect biopic for Nolan to direct. Heath ledger biopic, it would chronicle Heath ledger last months of life, from when he was filming the dark knight until he passed away.

It's not even been 10 years since the last Johnny Cash Biopic.

However, I am looking forward to the day Christopher Nolan settles down and we start to get some serious and effective movies from him that work over his typical gimmicks.

How would you know? Let's see him make one and judge afterwards...

Nolan doing a biopic? Why not? "Memento" and "Insomnia" learned us he's good with smaller projects.

Um, yeah, mindbending psychological ones.

The Man in Black ain't exactly the mindbending type. Rather far from it, one gets the impression.
