Sharkwater - 1080i on PS3 not 1080P? - Blu-ray Forum

The video which was actually in 1080i according to my PS3, also the PS3 could not display any chapter or timestamp information...

Anyone else have this problem or know a fix

It also happens on my David Gilmour: Remember the Night bluray but none others...

HELP!!!!!

I got this from Netflix and had same issue with time stamp...very odd.

Didn't think too much of the film...too much 'crazy enviornmentalist' stuff for me. Seriously - a battering ram on a ship to stop fishing?

I'm having the same problem with sharkwater. Is this a rare problem with only a couple disks or is it more widespread?

Same here. I think it must have been them all. The 1st Blu-ray in 150 or so I have noticed that the time did not show on the display screen from PS3.

Sent an e-mail to Sharkwater and got this Reply:

it was actually produced in 1080i, not 1080p. Apparently a number of different film speeds were used and the production house decided that 1080i would be the best format. Thanks for your email, the cover will be corrected on the next printing.
