Default 'Pirates of the Caribbean' -- AVC encoding

Bill Hunt from digitalbits is saying that both titles will be encoded in AVC and have 5.1 uncompressed sound.

Great news...both titles should look amazing!

AVC is doing wonders on the Sony titles and I expect nothing less from Disney. They have served up many an outstanding disc. You just have to know it will be high bit rate with there being 2 discs.

Which Sony discs are these?
Sony is actually the absolute leader in P/Q of all BD studios with more tier 0-1 titles then anyone....and they did so with MPEG-2 and PCM.

I have not been all that impressed with AVC so far on most Disney titles.

I have been impressed with Sony's MPEG-2 and AVC titles as well as Disney's AVC titles too. The Prestige I thought looked great.

Also, we've learned from our industry sources that Disney's forthcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Blu-ray Discs (due 5/22) will offer all of the previous DVD extras, along with some new features created just for the high-definition release. Among these: Curse of the Black Pearl will include the ability to select items of interest while watching the film, thus programming your own documentary to watch after the film, while Dead Man's Chest will enable you to play a game Liar's Dice with characters from the film. Both discs will be hosted by Jolly Roger, similar to the Magic Mirror host for the Snow White: Platinum Edition DVD. Both films will be encoded in AVC and will feature Uncompressed PCM 5.1 audio.
I've highlighted the stuff that is new/more detailed than I had previously read.

On CotBP how is that going to work? If you have that feature on overlay graphics will appear on objects that you can then highlight and select?

Extras are fine I guess, but as long as the PQ and SQ are top notch, i'll be buying these for sure
