Writer/director David Ayer has been tweeting pictures from the set of his World War II tank movie, Fury. Mostly behind-the-scenes stuff, but tonight’s offering is our first official look at the cast in costume. Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena, and Jon Bernthal sit casually atop a tank which, according to a scribble of white paint across the tank gun barrel, is called “Fury.” Pitt plays Wardaddy, an Army sergeant who leads the five-man crew of the Fury into a dangerous mission behind eneymy lines: “Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Fury is scheduled for release on November 14, 2014

Official synopsis:

FURY is set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Ayer doing a war film isn't that surprising. He was a Special Forces officer before becoming a writer.

It's honestly kind of hard to pick out the actors in that picture. I picked out Michael Pena and Logan Lerman before I even read they were in it. Which ones are the others?

Looks like Labeouf on the far right, Bernthal next to him, then Pitt? That really doesn't look like Pitt.

Count me in since David Ayer turned me into a fan after I saw End Of Watch (One of the most underrated films I've ever seen).

BTW I've never understood the Shia LaBeouf hate. He's like the Nickelback or Call Of Duty equivalent of actors in the sense that everyone hates him but no one knows why. He was pretty good in Lawless and Charlie Countryman so I can't say I think he's a bad actor or person.
