OVERVIEW

The future of life in the solar system has never looked so bleak. Gargantuan asteroids are on a collision course with five planets and the evil Professor Schaumund is launching an unprecedented act of interstellar revenge.

Launching your spacecraft, your only hope is to leave the stratosphere and stop all incoming danger. Quick, accurate piloting and weapon skill is demanded to clear the cosmos of the impending danger to the planets.

You'll need to make use of every available weapon – Rock Crushers, Ice Splitters, Gold Melters and Antimatter Bombs – if you want to protect the indigenous life below and save civilisation from annihilation.

During your heroic blasting of asteroids, power-ups will increase your weapon's power, giving you more spectacular explosions as debris is reduced to space dust with further rounds of fire.

Tikkanen: We are pushing the hardware more that any other PSN-game we are aware of. For example the physics, collisions and particle effects run natively on Cell. We control the graphics at the lowest available level for maximum efficiency.

We are able to get over 10,000 active objects with physics and collisions and over 75,000 particles simulated and drawn @60fps. That said, we were unable to use all the available processing power from Cell for this game, so for the next game there are still plenty of reserves left.

I love it! Reminds me of when I had it on the old Amiga 1200.

The PS store has been updated. I just went in and checked because i have been looking forward to SSHD. There is a Demo for Dynasty Warriors: GUNDAM, and 5 new trailers. The trailers are GTA IV Trailer 2, Superbad, I Know Who Killed Me, The Invasion and License To Wed.

awesome. Only 7.99. thats great. I would have expected at least 10 since its the best reviewed psn game out there so far. I need to play another psn game besides CAC (which I love btw).

It is awesome that psn has the new gta4 trailer on the same day of its "worldwide" release.

I also heard they were updating resitance today with the new maps.

I have not seen an update for resistance on the store yet. And SSHD is pretty fun. As of right now I am #3 worldwide in arcade mode. woot. Too bad more people are going to DL it and pass me up.
