Gaming chairs - Blu-ray Forum

Well, I've achieved a level of geekdom I never thought I'd get to: I purchased a "gaming chair". To be more specific: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1181832839397

The reason I purchased said chair was because it was on clearance for $30, but I found the wireless option to be nice so I can plug my headphones into the chair and not have a wire to get tangled.

However, my main motivation to get a chair was that I only have a 32" television so I find myself squinting too heavily when on the couch, but I do not want to sit on the floor; this chair allows me to sit a bit closer and still be comfortable. My smaller television coupled with my horrendous eyesight makes it difficult to pick off people from far away in games like COD4 or Warhawk.

Anyone else have a geeky chair (or other anecdote to share)?

I have always wanted to try one of those, looks silly but i heard it's pretty good actually

I was going to buy one just like that for my son, but it didn't get very good customer reviews, post back and let us know how the durability is

Well, I'm a large sized adult and it seems pretty sturdy. I can update after a week or so of use though.

The thing I've found with customer reviews are that generally the only people who review them are idiots or people who just got a bad one. The only exception to that is the person who is absolutely in love with the product and also reviews it.

the other 90% don't bother to review it so the "star ratings" are always skewed.

My wife bought me that chair for christmas, and its great. I am average size i guess 5'10" 180 and it more then supports me with my son who's 7 1/2 months old crawling around me. I sounds great and most importantly when my son is asleep at night I can plug in my headphones and hear without waking him up.
