Adore Blu-ray

Quote:
Paramount Home Media Distribution has officially announced and detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of director Anne Fontaine's Adore a.k.a Perfect Mothers (2013), starring Naomi Watts, Robin Wright, Xavier Samuel, and James Frecheville. The release will be available for purchase online and in stores across the nation on December 10th.

There are no special features listed on the current press release.

Set in an Australian seaside town of otherworldly beauty, Adore follows two women's plunge into uncharted waters as they explore the intricacies of love, family, morality and passion. Watts and Wright deliver riveting performances as two life-long friends who become romantically involved with each other's sons. The film also stars Xavier Samuel (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Loved Ones) and James Frecheville (Animal Kingdom). Adore is based on a novel by Nobel Prize for Literature winner Doris Lessing.

Wonderful, wonderful film

Interesting that this movie got two different reviews (for the French and US versions). I suppose they're both the same transfer-wise?

Watched this last nite and although I found it to be a bit chaste, I ended up thoroughly enjoying it. Worth it for the stunning scenery alone. Great perfs from both the leads.

Chaste? That's so typical. (Typically American /Christian/ morality.)
I saw the trailer for this movie before it came out and was slightly intrigued. But not if it's "chaste". However I didn't expect anything else, really.
A drop in the ocean...

This is a surprisingly good film. Naomi Watts gives a great performance as usual. I did have a problem with the way Roz's affair was dealt with. Her husband is seemingly unaffected by it--and maybe never knows about it. And his son, who knows his mom is having an affair, doesn't really seem to care that his mom is cheating on his dad. Oh well---still a pretty darn good film.
