I have recently purchased a Samsung PN51F5300. Don't have it yet (damn you FedEx). (replacing a blown 2010 Panasonic TC-P46G25) Don't know how it is yet, obviously, but I'll post back here when I do.

Burn in never goes away. Image retention can go away (two different things).

people on AVS kept insisting I have IR when I really have burn in due to their typical internet incorrectness that I should reset my kuro.

I just picked up a 64" PN5300 and It outperforms my 50" Samsung 8000 plasma (2012) which was twice the money. I find it to be a no frills tv that delivers a great picture once calibrated.

Judging by reviews, primarily CNET's, the S60 has somewhat better blacks (but worse colours) and the 5300 has somewhat better colours (but worse blacks).

The S60 is also smart and I believe has less glare in brighter rooms.

One of the good things about the S60 is that it has fantastically low input lag. If you're a gamer you'd want to have low input lag.

THe S60 doesn't have an anti-glare filter whatsoever, where as the F8500 has a very good anti-glare filter.

Turns out that the Merchant I bought the set from from Amazon Marketplace never shipped the thing. My Credit Card Fraud Protection was triggered and delayed payment by a day, and they had already tagged the set for shipment, so FedEx had never picked it up because the merchant hadn't received payment yet. So I sat around for a week and a haf waiting for a set that was never shipped. However, I discovered this after the following occurrence...

I called the merchant on the last day of estimated delivery (Friday, March 21st), and they couldn't figure out what happened. They showed it shipped, so they put a tracer on the shipment, but decided to send a second set out to me. I called back Monday the 24th to see if I could get a new tracking number. Turns out they never sent it out. After further thought, I decided to cancel the whole thing for a refund. Something obviously messed up their shipping records.

So I look up and find the same set via the Best Buy website. Order one of those...and as I go to Check out,...my card is rejected. Ah ha! And within a minute or so, I get a call from my Card services to see what's going on. After explaining, and verifying some purchases, my card was cleared for transaction on Best Buy. While verifying the purchases, it dawn on me...I bought the first set on the 12th, got the shipment email and date of shipment on the 12th, but the payment was not authorized until the 13th. That's when it dawned on me that the first set was never shipped.

So I called the merchant back up, as a courtesy, to let them know what the situation was and why it screwed up their shipment process. So I go to leave a Seller review on Amazon for 3 stars. Being fair in my review, that part of the problem was on my side, but not my fault, but then also putting a bit of blame on their flawed shipping department, I get an email from the merchant asking me to remove the "average" review. I refused. At some point they need to make sure they receive payment before they cue something for shipment. Otherwise they will run into this problem again.
