So I tried to use 4 $2 coupons for 4 D2D conversions today at a WM. The associate said I could only use 1 per transaction so I said forget about it and to cancel the order. before I left the store, I realized I left my vudu print out with the clerk. I went back to get my slip and she informed me that VUDU was reviewing my account for coupon fraud. WTF??!?
![]() has anyone run into a similar issue? I tried to get this cleared up from VUDU support. At first the CSR was laughing because she had never heard of "coupon fraud" and but then she said to call back later as they're still reviewing my account. |

how does one commit coupon fraud when they are buying the product directly and not returning for a profit - and using the coupon in the manner it was directed? Plus, they give you 2 coupons a shot.

this particular store has always given trouble for using those coupons. This time they went too far. The clerk also made it seem like a crime to have multiple vudu accounts attached a UV locker. I wonder if these people know the technology on which their service operates. Probably not.
I still have access to my VUDU accounts and still haven't gotten any official communication from VUDU regarding this "investigation." Last edited by menace519; 10-15-2013 at 01:55 AM. |

Every one of these that I've ever had had an expiration date of 12/31/13. Cashiers never gave me any problems using more than one at a time. I recently just wasted 9 of them by forgetting them in my pants pocket and running them through the washer and dryer. lol

Call the corporate feedback number and complain. I have done that a couple times with various issues where the store was wrong about something, and I got a call back both times within a couple days from one of the managers at the store explaining that they were correcting the issue and making sure that the staff knew the proper policy. |

I had a lot of the Sony coupons that I bought from one person (as in almost 200) and I often redeemed them in groups of 30+ and covered the entire transaction with coupons less any tax etc. That pretty much always required a manager to come and turn the key so they looked at the coupons every time and let them go right on through every time. Issue might be that OP has the coupons from the studio that states on the coupon limit one per transaction vs having the sony coupon with no such stated restrictions. That having been said, the store has no business acting that way and submitted an account for review for coupon fraud. Somebody there must be a real a*hole to do that. |

update: I later learned from the manager that the employee was suppose to have accepted the coupon anyways. Duh.!? Even if the customer was wrong. Which I wasn't. Apparently coupon customers spend on average 20% more than ones that don't and WM tries to promote that. I was actually using the ones from Fox which expire 11/30/13. They do state "one per transaction per product" which has a different meaning than "one per transaction" which it doesn't state. I have the Sony ones too but I didn't have them on me and these were expiring sooner. Either way, I still think they would have given me a hard time just the same. |

update: VUDU had closed the "fraud inquiry" support ticket a day after the WM employee graciously opened for me. VUDU never contacted me nor disrupt my service. The only communication I got was a satisfaction survey email. I think i'll fill this one out ;-) |

And BTW, the assistant manager offered me a gift card which I can pick up at the customer service counter next time I stop by the store for all my troubles. I may just do that in a week or two ;-) |

Glad to hear it all worked out for you. I had about 35 of these coupons that I used all at once and it was SOOO painful. I still have 5-7 of them left and I just can't bring myself to go back into the store to use them

I went to a walmart today with a list and they said their system for vudu has been downfall or weeks and wasn't working. I called several other stores and got either no answer or they said they didn't do it.
Anyone from the Los Angeles area have any luck finding a wal mart that does D2D? |
