Default Walmart In Store D2D Service - my account under review

So I tried to use 4 $2 coupons for 4 D2D conversions today at a WM. The associate said I could only use 1 per transaction so I said forget about it and to cancel the order. before I left the store, I realized I left my vudu print out with the clerk. I went back to get my slip and she informed me that VUDU was reviewing my account for coupon fraud. WTF??!?

has anyone run into a similar issue? I tried to get this cleared up from VUDU support. At first the CSR was laughing because she had never heard of "coupon fraud" and but then she said to call back later as they're still reviewing my account.

I think your fine as who is to say u didn't buy titles with the coupons I mean they are on a lot of product. The coupon as I have used them in the past do not ring through the register they need manager approval - its says per item in a transaction limit 1 so in term to use 4 coupons you need to 5 titles. The manager must of went out of his/her way to try and get you in trouble after all is said and done I would go back and to talk to them and bring them around to the million titles that have this coupon attached

how does one commit coupon fraud when they are buying the product directly and not returning for a profit - and using the coupon in the manner it was directed? Plus, they give you 2 coupons a shot. Even if you used say 100 coupons that means you bought 50 items with the coupon on it. Heck, I buy sometimes for that purpose incentive

this particular store has always given trouble for using those coupons. This time they went too far. The clerk also made it seem like a crime to have multiple vudu accounts attached a UV locker. I wonder if these people know the technology on which their service operates. Probably not.

I still have access to my VUDU accounts and still haven't gotten any official communication from VUDU regarding this "investigation."

Yikes, not a good day for the in-store D2D.

All of the d2d $2 coupons I've seen expired last... March?
Can you check yours? Depending on where they were sourced (eBay, etc) might they, in fact, be fraudulent?

I've had no good luck with the in-store service. The in-home app is all I'm going to use from here on out.

Every one of these that I've ever had had an expiration date of 12/31/13. Cashiers never gave me any problems using more than one at a time. I recently just wasted 9 of them by forgetting them in my pants pocket and running them through the washer and dryer. lol

The fraud wasn't so much with the legitimacy of the coupon but more with their usage. The clerk cited this as fraud because I intended to use all 4 coupons as once. Her interpretation was that only 1 coupon can be used per transaction.

If there is a next time have her do each movie by itself so can you use the coupon according to her correctly and so Walmart gets charged a fee for each transaction.

lol. I've been known to do something similar when a store pisses me off for no reason. I'll usually pay all but $.05-$.10 with cash and then put the rest on my debit card so they get charged by Visa/MC.

Call the corporate feedback number and complain. I have done that a couple times with various issues where the store was wrong about something, and I got a call back both times within a couple days from one of the managers at the store explaining that they were correcting the issue and making sure that the staff knew the proper policy.

They are 12/31/13 and there are two different versions. The one from Sony does NOT list any restrictions about how many you can use per transaction. The one issued by the other studio (I forget which one specifically) does say one per transaction right on it, which would technically mean you would have to ring up and check out for each movie individually or simply be limited to only a $2 discount per register receipt.

I had a lot of the Sony coupons that I bought from one person (as in almost 200) and I often redeemed them in groups of 30+ and covered the entire transaction with coupons less any tax etc. That pretty much always required a manager to come and turn the key so they looked at the coupons every time and let them go right on through every time.

Issue might be that OP has the coupons from the studio that states on the coupon limit one per transaction vs having the sony coupon with no such stated restrictions.

That having been said, the store has no business acting that way and submitted an account for review for coupon fraud. Somebody there must be a real a*hole to do that.

Yupe, that's what we tried doing. I had no feelings of malcontent either, I just wanted to get heck out of there and get back to work. I guess she didn't like that when she had to call VUDU to redo the order.

update: I later learned from the manager that the employee was suppose to have accepted the coupon anyways. Duh.!? Even if the customer was wrong. Which I wasn't. Apparently coupon customers spend on average 20% more than ones that don't and WM tries to promote that.

I was actually using the ones from Fox which expire 11/30/13. They do state "one per transaction per product" which has a different meaning than "one per transaction" which it doesn't state. I have the Sony ones too but I didn't have them on me and these were expiring sooner. Either way, I still think they would have given me a hard time just the same.

Damn straight! It was a hectic week. Too busy to even get worked up this crap. I'm usually pretty mellow and will let things slide. But this nonsense with the flagging of my VUDU account for fraud just did not bode well me.

update: VUDU had closed the "fraud inquiry" support ticket a day after the WM employee graciously opened for me. VUDU never contacted me nor disrupt my service. The only communication I got was a satisfaction survey email. I think i'll fill this one out ;-)

lol. I did just that. I sent them an email the day it happened (Monday). I was getting worked up again b/c I had to drive by that F-ing store again today (Thurs) and haven't received any communication yet. I was planning on calling them the next day but then got a call from the assistant manager this evening and she apologized for the whole ordeal and that they've spoken to and retrained the entire Photo and Electronics department. She sounded genuine and seemed to understand what was going on. I guess WM does care about customer service after all.

And BTW, the assistant manager offered me a gift card which I can pick up at the customer service counter next time I stop by the store for all my troubles. I may just do that in a week or two ;-)

Glad to hear it all worked out for you. I had about 35 of these coupons that I used all at once and it was SOOO painful. I still have 5-7 of them left and I just can't bring myself to go back into the store to use them I'm sure I'll get around to it eventually.

I went to a walmart today with a list and they said their system for vudu has been downfall or weeks and wasn't working. I called several other stores and got either no answer or they said they didn't do it.

Anyone from the Los Angeles area have any luck finding a wal mart that does D2D?
