I'd like to know but at least our release is one of the latter ones. If the earlier ones have the extras on BD I'd hope ours will follow suit.
The UK, Ireland, Canada, US and Australia are the only countries with Ultraviolet.

Let's assume this is a trial.

Do you go for the biggest market (Canada and US)? No.
Do you make people who don't have UV capacity suffer? No, which rules out Australia. They share discs with NZ who don't have UV yet.

Leaving you with the UK and Ireland being the only suitable test market. Don't assume based on other countries having the discs, that we will.

But I'm probably going to wait and import the US version.

Our only option will be Flixster UK and to be frank it's a load of garbage that doesn't work. Unless they update their system (and offer new player options) before Man Of Steel, our UV Exclusive special feature will be un-watchable.

Works fine for me on both ios and PC, but not streaming. And playback does use too much CPU, so I'd probably end up watching on my iPod.

If they have the feature it will be on the BD disc, like the US release.

As I said earlier in the thread. I think they're using the UK & Ireland as a test market (it's the only suitable market for a number reasons I can't be arsed to repost), and every other country will have it on disc like the US...

If that were the case then surely the Euro releases would also be 2 Discs just like the US release? after all if they could fit the film, MM mode and the extra hour of bonus features on a single disc then why would the US set be 2 Discs, if anything the Euro release should be more discs to accommodate the extra language tracks.

Its just a guess but I would say they have removed the MM mode and thus freed up enough space to fit the contents of the US bonus disc onto the film disc.

Thanks for the confirmation that its on the US release.

Up yours european Warner
Thats it i am importing the US edition for sure for this one. This is just to weird that Warner would take the MMM out of the European releases

With that gone there is only about 50 min of bonus features

Feel like I'm asking a really daft question here...but
Does anyone know for sure if the US MoS edition will be region free?

I never know what studios realise region free and what don't!
I had ordered the UK Steelie, but so tempted to order the US edition in regards to NoExtraDiscOnUKediton-gate.

Waner Bros. almost always region free.

As a rough guide (there are always exceptions - for example when a company doesn't have international rights ):

20th Century Fox - Older titles locked, Newer ones tend to be Region Free (You'd be best to check first)
Criterion - Locked
Lionsgate - Locked (Some exceptions)
Paramount - Region Free (Criterion co-releases locked)
Sony Pictures (Columbia/TriStar) - Region Free (some exceptions)
Universal - Region Free
Buena Vista (Disney/Touchstone)- Region Free (some titles locked, check first)
Warner Bros. - Region Free

That's exactly what I said isn't it?

"But it's missing the interactive exploration of Planet Krypton and the MMM-esque feature is exclusive to UV..."

I could've worded it better, but the sentiment is correct. The "and" is to signify another clause to the sentence rather than to signify the end of a list. Perhaps I should have stuck a comma in or put it in a different sentence to make it clearer.
