the artwork on the cover and inside are very nice looking to me. i will be getting this day one!

Worth a blind buy? I have all of the previous Target steelbooks and don't wanna break stride.

But after all the mixed reactions I've read, I'm thinking it'll turn out to be crap.

I didn't think it was awful, its predictable but its entertaining and looked and sounded great in the cinema. I'll be buying the SB from target.

When they were giving away the entire screen play I read it and knew it would be something I would enjoy. For me it is for some it might not be.

The film has a great premise. Don't get me wrong, it looks amazing, the set design and CGI is off the scale. In the first 20 minutes I was thinking this has the makings of a absolute classic, but it slowly but surely descended into the totally predictable and absurd. The 'villain' is perhaps one of the most unconvincing I can remember, and I felt it was a huge mistake by the screenwriters/director to give him so much influence on the plot and gave him far to much screen time to the point I was left cringing by his inane antics. I was genuinely disappointed with how it turned out, because like I said, the concept promised so much and the art direction was off the scale, but in the end the plot line and predictable action sequences was its undoing. This is all imo of course. Should have given it to Ridley Scott-could have gone down with Blade Runner as a classic of the sci-fi canon.

Still a very nice looking steel though, but I could never justify paying top dollar for a mediocre/poor film.
